Aston Carter

Global recruitment portal
Aston Carter

Overview

Aston Carter is a London-based recruitment practice with a number of local offices in various global markets including: France, Germany, Belgium, Hong Kong and Japan. Due to the changes and growth of the business, their previous website no longer provided the level of business functionality required.

Brief

The following key objectives and goals were outlined:

  • Ability to manage content for localised language versions across different markets

  • Search functionality that returns high quality results using different character sets

  • Tools that make it easier for potential candidates to get in touch with Aston Carter

  • Localised CV uploads being channeled to appropriate recipients

  • Improve Search Engine Optimisation performance

Approach

We sat down with the client and determined why the previous site wasn't performing, what areas could be looked at to change this; and then drew up a list of objectives that the new site would satisfy. The key areas of focus included branding, usability, SEO and functional requirements that had arisen due to company growth.

Solution

  • From an interface design point of view, we implemented a cleaner, more stream-lined website, which presents search results in a very lucid way.

  • Highly visible calls-to-action for contacting Aston Carter were implemented.

  • Flash elements were replaced with HTML to improve SEO across job descriptions.

  • Localised content is managed via an easy-to-use Content Management System using latest framework-based technology.

Results

The website has allowed Aston Carter to grow in territories outside the United Kingdom and has been a vital business tool in recruiting and placing candidates across various financial sectors.
